Earlier this week, I had a bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. In layman’s terms: I had both of my ovaries and fallopian tubes removed. What does this mean for my body? I can never have biological children, and my body will forever cease producing estrogen and progesterone (two of the three things that drove my cancer.)
