Concord Monitor – Exhibit celebrates queerness and nature

Queerlective, in collaboration with New Hampshire Audubon, is thrilled to present “Blossoming Beyond: Celebrating Queerness in Nature,” an exhibition that explores the profound connection between queerness and the natural world.

The exhibit will run Jan. 24 to March 30 at the Massabesic Center Audubon in Auburn. A reception will be held Jan. 27 from 2 to 5 p.m.

“Blossoming Beyond” is a unique showcase of art that embodies the resilience, strength, and beauty found both in the LGBTQ+ community and the diverse landscapes of the natural world. The exhibition invites viewers to discover the intrinsic bond between individuals and their environment, celebrating the rich diversity of life.

Queerlective is a community-driven organization with a mission to create inclusive environments for the queer, BIPOC, and underserved communities through the transformative power of art.

New Hampshire Audubon’s mission is to protect New Hampshire’s natural environment for wildlife and for people. It is an independent statewide membership organization with three nature centers throughout the state. Expert educators give programs to children, families, and adults at centers and in schools. Staff biologists and volunteers conduct bird conservation efforts such as the Peregrine Falcon restoration.
