With over forty-two years of experience in the field of medicine, Julia Pillsbury, DO, FAAP, FACOP, has had the opportunity to care for pediatric patients. Her career began as a registered nurse in emergency medicine. Dr. Pillsbury attended Gwynedd Mercy University where she earned an Associate’s degree and Bachelor’s in nursing. While working as a nurse, Dr. Pillsbury continued her education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where she received a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. Subsequently, she completed her residency at the Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center. As an osteopathic medicine specialist, Dr. Pillsbury offers care for infants, toddlers, children, and teens. In addition to same-day sick care and wellness checkups, she specializes in an array of areas such as ADHD, eating disorders, autism, neuromuscular issues, and asthma. Throughout the duration of her career, Dr. Pillsbury has maintained affiliations with a number of prominent organizations such as the American Osteopathic Association and the Medical Society of Delaware. Furthermore, she is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Pediatrics and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She also serves on the committee of the American Medical Association.
