How rainbows renewed my faith in God

At rainbows end

I was in the oncology ward in the hospital looking out the window. My friend D was sharing a Bible verse with me — be still and know that I am God, when a rainbow appeared outside my window.

I was reminded of God’s covenant with his people. He would not flood the world again.

But would He flood my life? Would this be the end?

These questions haunted me and they still do.

Cancer is scary as fuck. Learning I had pancreatic cancer led me to a series of panic attacks the likes of which I had never seen before.

Since my diagnosis happened while my husband and I were snowbirding in Baja there was a lot of confusion about where I would seek chemotherapy.

Would we go back to Michigan? To the cold and dreary winter? Or would we tough it out in our small RV by the sea?

My husband had the fantastic idea of getting an apartment in Tijuana, Mexico. Close enough to the border that we could easily make it to my appointments in San Diego.

Yet more affordable than an apartment in San Diego by far.

We move in about a week and we have no furnishings and not enough money.

I was inspired to start a Go Fund Me page. You can find it here.

I understand that times are tough for everyone. If you can afford to even donate a few dollars it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for your kind thoughts and prayers.
