In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), heavy rains have seriously damaged major highways and interfered with flights at Dubai International Airport. Al Ain, an area of the Abu Dhabi emirate that borders Oman, received 254 mm of rain in less than twenty-four hours, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

Due to flooding in Dubai and other parts of the UAE on Tuesday, the airport had to temporarily halt operations. According to local media, a senior Emirati man in his seventies perished in the Ras Al Khaimah emirate during flash floods.

There have been reports of damage around the nation, including fallen highways, and local and federal administrations have mandated that students and employees work from home. Due to flooded roadways, locals reported getting trapped in traffic for hours at a time.
