Memorial Tournament officials announced the 2021 event raised more than $2.55 million for Nationwide Children's Hospital, as well as $3.006 million raised for the hospital at the Nationwide Children's Championship later last year.

Two Greater Columbus professional golf tournaments raised more than $5.5 million for Nationwide Children’s Hospital this year, officials announced Thursday.

The Memorial Tournament presented by Workday raised $2.55 million through the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation. It was the fourth straight year the PGA Tour event has topped the $2 million mark in donations.

Meanwhile, the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship raised $3.006 million for the hospital’s pediatric cancer program. That was the most in the 15-year history of the tournament, which is part of the Korn Ferry Tour.

Since its inception in 1976, the Memorial has raised more than $41 million for charity, including nearly $29 million for the hospital. The 2022 tournament will take place May 30 to June 5 at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin.

Since its inception in 2007, the Nationwide championship has raised $19.2 million for the cancer program. The 2022 tournament will take place August 22-28 at the Ohio State University Golf Club’s Scarlet Course.
