Yesterday the poetry community went into mourning as one of us, Aine MacOadha, died of cancer. Her interview on my blog had loads more hits. I emailed her, and tweeted. Another poet contacted me to tell me what I feared.https://twitter.com/ainemacaodha/photo

Aine lived in Omagh affected by the worst bombing in Northern Ireland, which just as my daughter was born. This was one of our bonds. When she learned of my illness she was stricken. She was compassionate, a service to poets, a writer of vibrant poetry. Lapwing, one of her publishers will feel the loss deeply. May the wind be behind her as she leaves us.
